How to get there:

 

Hade Edge Recreation Ground is situated on the B6106 Dunford Road. Travel along Dunford Road from the centre of Holmfirth for approximately 2 miles. The recreation ground can be seen on your right hand side just past Longley Farm .   Opposite the Boshaw Trout Inn.

Parking please follow the signs to the designated parking areas, please try to avoid causing obstruction for the local residents at all times.

 

Arrival:

 

Please register and collect your Entrant number when you arrive at the Event between 8.00 and 8.45 am.  The Event will commence at 9.00 am PROMPT.

 

Rules:

 

  1. All cyclists must abide by the Country Code and the Highway Code
  2. Minimum age for entry is 10.5 years.
  3. Cyclists under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian.
  4. Safety is paramount.  All riders must wear Helmets (Compulsory)
  5. Your presence at every checkpoint must be recorded.
  6. Remember that the event is not a race but a personal Challenge
  7. Marshalls will be situated at points throughout the route and their signals should be observed at all times.
  8. All motorised traffic along the route will be given preference at junctions – cyclists MUST stop if instructed to do so by a Marshall.
  9. Cyclists should be properly equipped to ride in inclement weather.
  10. Any cyclist who drops out must report to an official to prevent any unnecessary search being started and return their competitor’s number.

Entry Fee:

£16 per person in advance. Optional T-shirt £7 in advance.

On-line entries will be accepted up to 12.00 pm on the 9th. We strongly recommend entering prior to the event due to its increasing popularity.

Entries on the day, if places available, can be made by cash or card.

I or my parent/guardian accept and agree that neither the organisers nor officials, the land owners, sponsors, supporters or fellow participants shall be liable in any way, or in circumstances, for damages or injury that I may suffer during this event.  I understand and agree to abide by the rules of the event.  I agree that I participate in this event at my own risk.  I must ride safely and with consideration for others.  I also declare that the cycle that I will use on the day is well maintained, has two fully working brakes, is in full working order and is suitable for off-road cycling.  I am of good health and with no known health conditions and am physically capable of completing the event  I agree that I will follow the instructions or organisers and marshals throughout the event  I understand that the organisers DO NOT provide personal accident insurance and I will provide my own insurance if I so wish.  My signature on the entry form confirms that I accept these conditions in their entirety.
